Advertising revenue

REVENUE GENERATION
Important part in team management is the income management. This is an advice that I have already given you once. I am going to write it twice. However, this time around I will focus on advertising and sponsoring revenue.

ADVERTISING AND SPONSORING
Advertising and sponsoring revenue is almost solely based on the media visibility of the team. The more eyes are staring at you the more gold is coming to your coffers. So chappies, the solution for financial security and winning team is simple - make headlines!

ROLE OF MEDIA
Media is the candy for modern human laying (sometimes credited as being). Turn on the tube, the box, the wire... whateverettshow... Excellent way to fill up ones life that unions have degenerated into meaningless and short stints at work or better yet, constant unemployment. Media will fill in the blanks and give that great family one never had with the added value of purpose for you life, which is to follow the media.

SHOW ME THE MONEY
As media pushes to every household and reaches every pair of eyes in some way - it is important to get into the media feed. As sponsors and advertisers want to reach those eyes, they will value above everything else your ability to strike headlines. It doesnt matter what sorta publicity you get, right kinda sponsors that match with your team profile will be lining up behind your office door.

HOW TO USE MEDIA
As I told you earlier, if you want money through sponsoring or advertising, get into media. Media has eye only for something extraordinary. Status Quo will not satisfy the readers, because readers are looking for emotional rush. Offer that rush and media will pick you up very quickly.

You need to do everything in an exceptional manner. So here are some brainers for you to think over:

Hattrick manager success

Tuomo Terho scored a hattrick! Manager thanks and wishes many more to come. Terho is on a way to grab the title of the best scorer in the division. Now he has excellent midfield to support him and my bet is that he will be very high on the standings.

First game

Season opener and we won! Should have played it easy as we had the worst team in the division against us, but I wanted to get an idea of the current level of the team. Calibrating of sorts...

Couldnt sell them, had to let them go

And so it happened that nobody wanted to take care of my trash and I had to let them go. Funny how it is not called FIRING anymore. Ok, end result is that we are 3 players lighter and my budget limit likes it very much. Support staff actually costs more to maintain than the player side of the team. Now, manage that!

Selling players

Sooo, this post is about advertising. I am selling three fill-in players to various positions to shed some miniscule salary costs. Go ahead and make my future by buying them. I am not expecting telephone numbers just go over the minimum and Im happy. Ill be some mother ....... Ecstatic! E!

300 000 reasons to PANIC!

I gotta get it bigger, higher and better... Thats why I doubled the size of mi stadium. Next week the budget is going down like oil drilling blade. Amortification is going to kill me! Dogs... Interest rate has a grip on my jingles. But hey... think big and live on the edge and always remember to cook the books and put something on the side for the glorious future on Malta of Hawaii. Yes, yes other small islands are ok too but better choose one where you can use English or whatever language you prefer.

Fitness training

There are couple of players in the team that just dont get better than good. Important lads of the future, really. I just neeed those guys to take part into stamina training. Fitness training is the key to get the results out of them.

What would be better time for such training than the season break? I sure dont know. Now I can play any of the lads I like and team will still get the results. I dont need to put my milking cows to the slaughter... Eh, so what if Im an old sob? I can use any figures of speech I like.

Sooo, anyways, I will have the chance of getting the stamina up for those key players. Furthermore I dont have to risk injuries and I can have my preferred lineup at the season kick-off. Those goons better make it or Ill get them some Jane Fonda fitness training videos or DVDs and make them jump around in tights. That will teach them some stamina... just dont know who? I sure as hell dont want to be oogling men in blue or green or whateverthecoloroftheirtights...

So, mark my words - off season fitness training will create players of the future. Eh, just to be sure you get the message, just about any training will create players of the future - you know they age and this is not rocket science (just check my spelling AND grammar)

Season overview

Oh boy, looks mighty fine. But it started out pretty awful. Espoon Epelit managed to overgoal us and then we lost the next friendly match. That was really testing times for us. We didnt have proper bar to weigh us upon and were drifting. Not to mention this shoddy climate of Finland makes a man to drink, just to stay warm. Try to manage, coach and train your team while seeing little elfs. . . also those buggers, players I mean, speak gibberish called Finglish. Dont ask, you just have to hear it.

Anyhoo, after those two starting matches we won just about every game we had. Sure there was couple of losses but they were mainly against teams from higher divisions. Nothing major there but there was lot of excitement before we went head on towards the division leader of that time. We did everything we could and in the end, picked an easy win. After that there wasnt much drama even it could have turned out quite bad for us since our goal balance was way behind our two main competitors.

Some observations:

My mentor adviced me to focus on stamina first and only after that go for form and skill training. This truely payed off on the second halfs of our games after few weeks into training. Often we were quite even on the first half but on the second we managed to set a definitive lead.

Playmaking was the key of my training after completing the stamina training. This further increased our dominance of the midfield and combined with good stamina, and ever increasing form, we were able to control games. Downside of this is that rest of the team is not able to improve like the midfield and we need to make money in order to strengthen our weaknesses.

Now we are a one trick pony that really is not able to jump any hurdles, with these resources, we are not going to make it in VII. Have to think up something...

Victory!

WE DID IT! Money in my pocket, success as my friend I lead the team up up and away. What a great moment! Should have wrote this earlier, but was too buys celebrating... Now I cant make it too far coz of this snakepit in mi head.

Up in VII we have a goal of further ascending our position. Dont know yet what we have to dig our knuckles into (Im not saying that we are going to brawl... noooo). However there are some things we need to do.

1. Bigger stadium to make money
2. Continue playmaking training
3. Decreasing player count
4. Increasing the rate of domestic players

One final friendly as a season finale...

We are going to make it

65 minutes to the game and we are already 4 over their 0. Looking real good, but no rest for the old timer...

Tonight history is written and future set

Last game of the season and if we loose we will be knocked down from the highest standing. Sizeable pool of money is waiting for the numbah one team. Stress level is intolerable. Valium recommended. First round is on me. Soon the games are on...

Stadium cost tactics

Finland, take a note. Variable stadium building cost is going to double. Fixed starting cost for building project is coming down from 60k euro down to 10k euro. Together this makes an interesting change. I put my trained monkey - Tony - to toss around the abacus and out came the calculus.

x+60000=2x+10000 (some mathematical magic)

x=50000

As you can see, I aint feeding bananas fer mi chief financial consultant for nothing. Tony has now successfully determined the point where the old cost structure is in balance with the new. So if we want to get any financial advantage from the old stadium cost system, we need to sink more than 50k euro to variable costs.

Im gonna put down 300k to facelift my arena, how about you?
